Equality Commons is a new development consisting of fifty-four units of senior housing on approximately 13,595 SF of land. The building offers a variety of unit sizes, including twelve efficiency units (501–525 SF), thirty-four one-bedroom units (567–715 SF), and eight two-bedroom units (798–837 SF).

Nineteen units are accessible (with twelve additional units pledged beyond the required seven), ensuring inclusivity for all residents. At least 60% of the units are reserved for households earning 50% AMI or less, with the remaining units available for households earning 60% AMI or less. MaineHousing provided eleven project-based vouchers (20% of total units) for individuals with special needs.

The development features a community room, laundry facilities, bike storage, and broadband infrastructure designed to support Telemonitoring and/or Telehealth services. The property also includes electrical conduits for future installation of Level 2 electric vehicle chargers in the parking area and the potential for PV solar panels on the roof, with an electrical panel sized to support both upgrades.
