Shayna McGee
Maintenance Operations Manager

Shayna leads DC Management’s robust and rapidly growing maintenance team as Maintenance Operations Manager, where she brings a strong operational focus and deep industry insight to the role. She transitioned into this position after serving as Director of Property Management beginning in 2022, a role in which she successfully oversaw a diverse portfolio that included commercial spaces, market-rate residential units, and mixed-use developments. Her extensive background in property management includes experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties and condominium associations, equipping her with a well-rounded understanding of both affordable housing and high-end real estate operations. This foundation enables her to approach maintenance with a strategic, property-wide perspective, ensuring both efficiency and quality service across the board. Shayna is based in Casco, Maine, where she enjoys life in the lakes region with her husband and children, being outdoors and staying connected to her community.

Melinda Whittaker
Director of Property Management

Melinda is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in affordable housing. Known for her expertise in financial analysis, project management, and regulatory compliance, she has consistently achieved success through effective leadership, process improvements, and relationship building. Melinda has extensive knowledge in managing large affordable housing portfolios, overseeing capital projects, and spearheading business growth initiatives. Prior to joining DC Management, Melinda held various key positions with affordable housing management companies, including CEO, Finance Director, Compliance Director, and Asset Manager. Residing in midcoast Maine, Melinda loves spending time with her daughter, Olivia, as well as friends and family. She enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.

Affordable Housing Compliance Manager

An established expert in affordable housing, Michelle brings over a decade of hands-on experience to her role. As a former Asset Manager II at MaineHousing, she managed a diverse multi-family portfolio encompassing LIHTC, FedHOME, and HTF properties. Her expertise includes conducting compliance reviews, financial analysis, and ensuring program regulation adherence. Michelle holds certifications in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (TCS), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), and Federal HOME programs, along with specialized training in Fair Housing and ADA compliance. Known for her leadership abilities, Michelle excels in overseeing management and occupancy reviews, training staff, and effectively integrating new properties. Michelle resides in Augusta with her daughter, Ella, and enjoys spending quality time at the beach, reading, and embarking on adventures to new destinations.

Senior Property Manager

Patty has over 22 years of experience in property management, with a diverse background in managing both market-rate and affordable housing properties. Starting her career in market-rate apartments, she transitioned to affordable housing where she honed her skills in managing, leasing, and providing vital housing services. Known for her ability to connect with people and foster strong community relationships, Patty is dedicated to helping individuals secure safe and affordable housing. She has a passion for working with vulnerable populations and is committed to making a positive impact in their lives. As part of the DC Management team, Patty aims to create and maintain safe, stable, and thriving properties. Originally from Southern California, she now resides in Old Orchard Beach, where she enjoys the beach, gardening, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Lily Brennan
Senior Property Manager

Lily joined DC Management in 2023 as a Residential Property Manager overseeing the market-rate portfolio. In 2025, she was promoted to Senior Property Manager in recognition of her leadership, deep industry knowledge, and strong relationships with both residents and ownership groups. Lily began her property management career in 2011 with a start-up firm in Portland, Maine, managing a diverse range of assets from office spaces to unfurnished market-rate units and short-term luxury rentals. She eventually served as both Property Manager and Leasing Agent for a dynamic mix of residential properties. After spending six months teaching English in Thailand, Lily continued her property management career in Frederick, Maryland, where she supported a variety of clients, including Washington, D.C.'s largest developer. Lily now lives in Cumberland, Maine, with her husband, Tyler, their two daughters, Marlowe and Ellie, and four chickens.

Sarah Hassler
Property Manager

Sarah began her professional journey at DC Management in March 2023, serving as the Property Manager for Freedom Place in Portland and DC Landing in Brunswick. She is a graduate of the University of Maine, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in Business in 2020. Before transitioning into property management, Sarah was immersed in the commercial shellfish harvesting industry. Originally from Scarborough, Maine, she currently calls South Portland home. During her free time, Sarah enjoys  outdoor pursuits like skiing, hiking, and fly fishing.

Jackie Condon
Property Manager

Jackie holds a Musical Theater degree from the University of Southern Maine and quickly found her way into the world of property management, starting at BellPort in 2020. She later joined the Portland Housing Authority as a Public Housing Inspector, earning a promotion to Property Manager in November 2023, a role she excelled in with her upbeat personality and genuine desire to help people within her community. Jackie holds certifications as a Tax Credit Specialist and an NSPIRE Inspector. As a property manager on the DC Management team, Jackie continues her dedication to creating positive environments. Originally from a family that moved across nine states, Jackie settled in Houlton, Maine, in 2011 and now calls the East End of Portland home, though she still considers herself a "county girl." In her free time, she enjoys music, theater, dancing, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the beautiful state of Maine.

Lynn Creamer
Property Manager

Lynn Creamer brings decades of experience in both social services and property management, with a proven track record of long-term dedication and service. She began her career at Midcoast Maine Community Action, where she spent 11 years providing intake, case management, and administering the LIHEAP program. She then continued her work in community support through The Salvation Army, managing their social services program for three years. In the past 18 years, Lynn has built a strong career in the housing industry, starting in Resident Services and moving into Senior Property Management, a role she has held for 15 years. Her background in both social services and housing gives her a unique and compassionate approach to property management, combining operational expertise with a deep understanding of resident needs.

Property Manager

Kristi Brown joined the property management field five years ago and brings a diverse background in operations and customer service to her role at DC Management. Prior to working in real estate, she managed storage facilities and spent 15 years as a tour bus driver, traveling extensively across the country. This experience reflects her strong work ethic, adaptability, and love of connecting with people. Originally from Lincolnville, a small town in Maine, Kristi values building strong relationships within the communities she serves. Outside of work, Kristi enjoys spending time with her children, Coleman and Desirae, as well as gardening, riding her motorcycle, and camping, all activities that reflect her adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors.

Property Manager

Anne El-Habre holds a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and returned to her home state of Maine a decade ago where she began her journey in affordable housing at the Augusta Housing Authority alongside Amanda Bartlett. That opportunity led to a seven-year career managing low-income senior housing properties. Now reunited with Amanda at DC Management, Anne is excited to support the company’s continued growth and contribute her experience to its mission. Outside of work, Anne is a passionate painter, a devoted plant caretaker, and a self-proclaimed yard sale and thrift store enthusiast.

Commercial Property Manager

Tim joined DC Management as Commercial Property Manager in 2024. With over 10 years of property management experience in commercial and residential real estate, Tim has successfully managed prestigious assets in downtown Boston's financial district, including the iconic Old City Hall building and 100 Franklin Street, formerly home to the Boston Stock Exchange. Tim also oversaw a diverse commercial portfolio in the vibrant Fenway neighborhood, working with renowned businesses like Guitar Center and Wahlburgers. Apart from his professional achievements, Tim is a dedicated Boston sports enthusiast and a proud supporter of Portland's new USL team, Hearts of Pine. He also enjoys traveling internationally and exploring lighthouses with his wife and daughter.

Leasing Manager

Shari's career journey began at Village Green Management in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she honed her skills in leasing, bookkeeping, and management. After marrying and relocating to Maine, Shari transitioned into the role of a full-time mother raising her two daughters, Carley and Lindsay. In 2017, she embarked on a new chapter by joining DC Management as a Leasing Manager where she thrives in her responsibilities. A sports enthusiast, Shari's heart remains loyal to Michigan teams although she has developed a fondness for New England sports. In her leisure time, Shari enjoys beach outings, hiking adventures, and attending outdoor concerts.

Erica's journey with the DC Management team began in 2018, and she has flourished within the organization, adapting to hybrid roles as the company evolved. From resident service coordination to leasing, and now assisting with condo management, Erica values cultivating positive relationships with tenants and the Stevens Square Condominium community. A Maine native, she cherishes family and faith, and is dedicated to advocating for victims of human trafficking and domestic violence. In her spare time, Erica enjoys soaking up the simple joys of life with her family, exploring nature, and embracing the beauty of the world around her.

Nate is a dynamic professional who recently launched his career at DC Management following an enriching internship with Kevin Bunker and Developers Collaborative in the summer of 2023. A graduate of Saint Michael's College in 2024, Nate returned to Maine to kickstart his full-time journey of service. Throughout his college years, Nate excelled as a student-athlete and demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. Passionate about making a positive difference in his community, Nate is deeply committed to the progress and development of the Portland area. With a strong foundation of dedication and a drive for excellence, Nate is poised to contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of the region.

Accounting Assistant

With a background in AP/AR for industries including general contractors and residential property management, Jess brings a diverse skill set to the table. After delving into the realm of accounting at Southern Maine Community College, Jess started her professional journey in April of 2020 for DC Management where she handled Accounts Payable while also serving as the Resident Service Coordinator for Griffin Road Apartments in Scarborough. Presently, Jess is fully immersed in  managing accounts payable and receivable for DCM alongside her responsibilities as Office Manager. Residing in South Portland with her partner Lafayette and their sons Evan and Maddox, she enjoys disc golfing, fishing, gardening, and tending to her chickens.

Resident Services Coordinator

Sarah's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Montclair State University and a Master of Social Work degree from New York University. She spent 13 years as a School Social Worker at a charter school in Paterson, New Jersey, focusing on assisting high school students as they prepared for college or their career paths. In addition to her role as a social worker, Sarah also led clubs such as an animal rights club and co-coached the cross-country team. Originally from New Jersey, Sarah has always been a Maine enthusiast and made the move to Southern Maine in 2021 with her husband Jeff and three daughters. She joined DC Management as the Resident Services Coordinator for Griffin Road Senior Housing in Scarborough, where she thrives on generating ideas and fostering creativity in her role.

Bill Brown
Resident Services Coordinator

Bill's educational journey took him from Jamaica Queens, New York to the beautiful Caribbean Island of Antigua, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with a minor in Criminal Justice from Springfield College in 2005. Bill's professional path began in the high fashion industry, but through various volunteer opportunities, he found his true calling in social services. Over the years he has gained valuable experience working in street outreach, for the state of Maine at the Long Creek Youth Development Center, and in roles with the Department of Labor and Child Protective Services. Most recently, Bill served as a Homebuilders Family Support Specialist at Bethany Christian Services. Now, as a Resident Services Coordinator, he brings a deep-seated belief that everyone has intrinsic value simply by existing. Bill is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of DC Management properties, valuing each person he encounters.

As a Resident Services Coordinator, Eliza is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where residents feel both secure and encouraged. Eliza’s focus is on developing and implementing programs that enhance residents' educational, social, health, and economic well-being. She believes that effective communication is key to understanding and addressing residents' needs, and she places great value on their feedback. With a degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Eliza’s career has been shaped by a passion for helping others. Her experience includes working in Home Health, supporting children with Autism, and running a Yoga and Wellness practice in Southern Maine. Eliza’s diverse background equips her with a unique perspective, which she brings to her role in serving and empowering residents.

Jeannine Gardner
Resident Services Coordinator / Administrative Support

Jeannine Gardner brings a wealth of experience in public service and administrative support, grounded in a lifelong commitment to helping others. A fluent French speaker from St. Francis in Aroostook County, Maine, she studied in Fort Kent and trained as a licensed cosmetologist in Clair, New Brunswick. Her diverse background includes roles as an EMT, dialysis technician, and Blood Services Manager with the American Red Cross. She also spent many years as an administrative assistant in school settings and previously volunteered in hospice care. In her current role, Jeannine brings compassion, strong organizational skills, and a people-first approach to supporting both residents and staff. Outside of work, she values time with her family and finds great joy in being an active and proud grandmother to her three grandchildren. Jeannine is also a Notary Public and Dedimus Justice, providing official services to the community.

Annelise joins our team with a background in property management and an excitement to grow and learn with DC in her new role as an occupancy specialist. Originally from Massachusetts, she moved to Maine in 2022 making a lifelong dream a reality. She feels lucky to call Maine home now, and can often be found taking advantage of the many natural wonders the state has to offer. She has a passion for learning new things and is always busy picking up new hobbies whether it be gardening, salsa dancing, or honing in on her carpentry skills.

Tracy Brant brings nearly eight years of experience in subsidized housing to her role as Occupancy Specialist for DC Management. Throughout her career, she has served as a Resident Services Coordinator, Assistant Property Manager, and Property Manager. Tracy is passionate about the compliance and data-driven aspects of housing, and she takes pride in conducting research and supporting residents through complex processes. Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending her summers camping, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. In the winter, she prefers to unwind with a good book and some quiet time indoors.

Reid Stevensen
Maintenance Technician

Before joining DC in April 2024, Reid dedicated 11 years to the Portland Museum of Art as a Facilities Technician, maintaining the museum's buildings and climate systems. His educational journey includes earning an HVAC certification from Southern Maine Community College and completing a degree in Audio Engineering at the New England Institute of Art in Boston. Reid enjoys repairing vintage audio equipment and exploring different music genres, having spun tracks as "DJ Razeed" during his college days. When not immersed in work or hobbies, Reid finds joy in summer beach outings, trivia nights, and discovering new culinary delights with his wife Jen and daughter Cadence.
