IN DEVELOPMENT
HEALY TERRACE
After the public-private partnership success of Birch Hill, Developers Collaborative and the Lewiston Housing Authority have partnered again to continue meeting the housing development needs of Lewiston. Through an adaptive reuse method, the historic Healey Asylum will be transformed into 32 affordable elderly apartment units. The unit mix includes 26 one-bedroom units, and 6 two-bedroom units, with 17 units to be fully handicapped accessible. Construction began in February 2011 with an anticipated December 2011 completion date.
